The Rulers & Rulership

Rulers and the forms and types of governance over the people are simply a reflection of the true condition of the people themselves, and it is established in the revealed Books of Allaah that the kings and rulers are a means by which Allaah punishes ingratitude and disobedience. It is from the Divine wisdom that Abu Bakr (radiallaahu anhu) was made to ruler over a certain type of people (the Sahaabah) and that we today are made to be ruled over by those who rule over the Muslim lands. In this section we will deal with this issue of the rulers and rulership, a subject area that distinguishes Ahl al-Sunnah, the Salafis, the followers of the methodology of the Prophets in calling to Allaah, from the cultists of Hizb al-Tahrir who wilfully oppose Allaah and His Messenger in their conception of these matters and have adopted instead the conceptions and methodologies of the Marxists, Leninists and Communists who envisage "social justice" through revolutions, except that they have simply "Islamicized" that methodology and made their goal the khilafah. These are not divinely sanctioned methodologies and they oppose revelation. Rather, they are the products of the minds of non-Muslim, materialist, secular thinkers by whom ignorant Muslims were affected by, then those ignorant Muslims became leaders and guides when they came up with so-called methodologies of reform by borrowing from these ideologies and giving birth to the 20th century political party.
